Variable-frequency drive (VFD) cable is available in customer-specified lengths in 1-ft increments. The cable is used to organize and protect the input and motor power wiring for VFDS. It is specially designed using grounding, shielding and insulation to reduce VFD-related electromagnetic interference (EMI) on nearby equipment. The cables use cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) conductor insulation with Class K, flexible stranded tinned annealed copper conductors. XLPE insulation can withstand voltages as much as three times higher than standard PVC/nylon insulation for VFD cables. The cable is available with four conductors (including ground) in 16 to 2 AWG sizes and is 1,000 V-rated for use with 460-V drives.
