Kollmorgen has acquired the largest Brazilian-based domestic supplier of precision motion controllers with the intent to expand its global engineering, manufacturing and sales presence.
The acquisition of system integrator and motion control manufacturer MCS Engenharia will combine industry expertise, technology and products. Kollmorgen will benefit from making resources available to Brazilian machine builders, and likewise, will make MCS resources available to global Kollmorgen customers.

MCS is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company with more than 15,000 installed controllers used in markets including machine tool, packaging, textile, metalforming, lens generation and specialty machines. MCS also assists OEMs develop and customize their machines by acting as a solution provider.
