Microscan Receives Innovation Award for Smart Camera

Smart Camera Recognized for Its Ability to Comprehensively Meet Quality Requirements in Food & Beverage Packaging and Safety

Last month, 28 companies were recognized at the 2012 Food Ingredients, Health Ingredients and Natural Ingredients Asia-China Show in the Shanghai New International Expo Center for their ability to initiate productive, flawless and profitable solutions in China's Food & Beverage industry. The categories included ingredients, processing, packaging, food safety and other.

Microscan, a manufacturer of precision data acquisition and control solutions for automation and OEM applications, received the 2012 Ringier Technology Innovation Award for its Vision MINI smart camera. The Vision MINI is designed for reliable performance in embedded identification and inspection applications, according to Microsan. The Vision MINI was selected due to its innovative barcode and machine vision technology, meeting all the quality requirements in Food & Beverage packaging and safety categories.

The winner was determined by an independent panel of judges based on voting results from an online poll.

The event was organized by Ringier Trade Media and its magazine China Food Manufacturing Journal, 2012 Food Ingredients, Health Ingredients and Natural Ingredients.
