ROCKWELL AUTOMATION’S A-B Automation Fair will be held Nov. 16-17 at the America’s Center in St. Louis. The show will include 21 hands-on labs and more than 50 technical sessions. The event’s show floor will feature 89 partner-company booths, 16 Rockwell exhibits, and presentations by seven university programs.

In addition, expert-hosted industry forums will provide a detailed look at the latest trends in the life sciences, automotive, food, beverage, OEM, and water/wastewater industries. Automotive forum will present strategies for using information, such as MES data, to make automotive manufacturing systems more efficient and effective. Food and Beverage forum will assess issues and present optimization solutions for handling demand for new products, increasing regulation, influence and control of power retailers, and the need reduce costs. Life Sciences forum will show how to use demand-driven manufacturing to achieve repeatable quality, plant security, worker safety, and reduced time to market. OEM forum will be a panel discussion on lean strategies and automation technology for machine builders. Water/Wastewater forum will explore design considerations in planning plant upgrades and expansions, and will focus on two technology areas: plant automation controls and motor/pump controls.

The hands-on labs will be offered three times daily during A-B Automation Fair. Registration for the labs is located on the exhibit floor, and will be conducted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Likewise, the fair’s 50-plus technical sessions will be grouped into 14 areas, including case study, control design, data management, intelligent motor control, maintenance, management, networks, power control, process, RFID, security, standards, and wireless.
