To accommodate growing customer demand and to continue the strategy of manufacturing locally for Control Techniques’ variable-frequency-drive business, Nidec is expanding its manufacturing footprint in Monterrey, Mexico, by 129,000 square feet with an $18.6 million investment.
Control Techniques, KB Electronics and Valmark are expanding in region with the support of Nidec’s Motion Energy business. Control Techniques now has an expanded global production capability, adding Monterrey, Mexico, to its list of existing facilities in Newtown, Wales; Oradea, Romania; Guangming, China; and Coral Springs, Florida. These facilities will produce Control Techniques and KB Electronics branded product for regional consumption.
