EAO, a provider of human-machine interfaces (HMIs), appointed Bruno Cathomen as chief executive officer of EAO Corporate. A succession was implemented in October 2022, which planned for the long term. Cathomen succeeds Kurt Loosli, who served as chief executive officer from 2000 to 2022. Loosli will join the board of directors of EAO Holding as vice president.
Most recently, Cathomen served as CEO at Mikron, a machine manufacturing company. Cathomen has experience in electrical engineering and production science, including years of leadership and experience as a business manager.
“As CEO, it has always been important for me to be personally present, maintain contact with our employees and customers to understand their needs. These have been exceptional years for me, with all kinds of challenges and opportunities,” said Loosli. “The board of directors now offers me the opportunity to help shape the company from a new perspective. In this new role, I remain an entrepreneur in the service of EAO. Cathomen brings valuable new insights and ideas that can further increase EAO’s success in the long term.”
Cathomen added: “I am excited to join EAO and look forward to the challenges and opportunity to further develop our strategic markets in the rail, heavy duty and specialty vehicle segments. I look forward to working with EAO’s leadership and building on the value and commitment we provide our customers.”
