The ACS580 UL Type 4X drive is a new addition to ABB’s all-compatible drive portfolio. Designed for operation in wet, washdown and outdoor environments, this drive is fully sealed from external elements. It also has NSF/ANSI 169 certification for dependable performance while enduring exposure to corrosive substances like salt spray, ammonia, chlorine and microbicides. The drive is equipped with an optimized dc choke to mitigate harmonics and has two option slots for further expanding connectivity through fieldbus and additional I/O. It also comes with an optional integrated lockable UL98 lined disconnect and fuses that simplify installation while increasing safety. The ACS580 UL Type 4X drive is available in multiple power ratings from 1 to 30 hp in 1-phase 240V, 3-phase 208-240V, 3-phase 380-480V, and 3-phase 500-600V.
