NVidia AI enables Universal Robots applications

Sept. 13, 2024
At IMTS 2024, UR+ Ecosystem Manager Chris Savoia reveals how artificial intelligence from NVidia is broadening perception capabilities

At UR’s IMTS booth in Chicago, UR+ Ecosystem Manager Chris Savoia explains how Universal Robots has paved the way for AI-based capabilities, such as NVidia's Isaac simulator on UR cobots. A graphics processing unit (GPU) from NVidia can seamlessly plug into UR cobots without requiring extensive user configuration. UR plans to make this technology available for a wide range of applications, including machine tending, inspection and process control.
