The NeoPAC is an open-architecture programmable automation controller with almost unlimited memory and multiple communication ports configurable for a variety of protocols. It supports up to two Allen-Bradley bluehose ports to interface to Data Highway Plus (DH+) or A-B Remote I/O (RIO) networks. The controller can be connected to Ethernet or serial I/O from different vendors, while also connecting to both new and old Rockwell controllers as a peer. This capability provides users of A-B PLCs an easy way to upgrade obsolete drives, robots, operator interfaces and other RIO or DH+ devices without changing the A-B controller or purchasing interface modules.
