The modular EZ PLC’s high processing power, advanced math functions, auto-tuned PID control and drag-and-drop ladder logic make it suitable for a 32 I/O standalone machine or a sophisticated 2,048 I/O system. It has built in RS-232 and RS-422/485) and Ethernet ports. It supports 64-KB user memory, 8,192 registers and 3-ms scan time for 1K instructions. It also supports a variety of digital, analog, mixed (ac and dc) and specialty I/O such as high-speed counter with PLS outputs, PWM, RTD and thermocouple modules with removable terminal block. Drives can be controlled via Ethernet or an RS-422/485 port using Modbus TCP/IP or Modbus RTU.
