PremiumPlus+ motors use low-cost ferrite magnets in a flux-focusing design for the efficiency of rare-earth permanent magnet motors at a price competitive with induction motors. The 7.5-hp and 10-hp versions driven by VFDs claim motor-only rated point efficiency over 94%. The motors have standard NEMA frame sizes and mounting dimensions, and are compatible with VFDs from most leading manufacturers.
