Smart motion systems have advanced algorithms designed to handle demanding, force-control applications such as wire bonding, limit impact forces and suppress induced vibrations to achieve maximal bandwidth and near-zero settling time to sub-micron resolution. The systems feature motion profiles that operate at a real-time servo update rate (20 kHz) for smooth, fast motions with durations as low as 100-500 µsec. Their EtherCAT-based distributed control architecture creates custom solutions based on combinations of modular, scalable, standard product offerings.
