BRUSH WEAR

Brush-wear monitoring system for the 42-frame permanent magnet DC (PMDC) gearmotors and motors is integrated into the motor housing. The sensors indicate when either of the brushes is nearing the end of their useful life. They allow OEMs to electronically monitor brush wear to maintain uninterrupted operation of these PMDC gearmotors. Gearmotors and motors that are equipped with this system also accommodate a built-in encoder and built-in EMI filtering.
