SNAP programmable automation controller
SNAP-PAC-S2 is an industrially hardened, stand-alone, multi-serial port, dual-Ethernet interface, programmable automation controller. The two independent auto-negotiating 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interfaces can be configured to create dual Ethernet networks for segmenting I/O and host traffic, or to create redundant Ethernet link segments for critical applications. The controller also has four serial ports for RS-232 or RS-485 serial communication and an RS-232 point-to-point modem connection for communication over leased lines, radios and cellular networks.
SNAP-PAC-S2 provides 128 MB of RAM, 16 MB of flash memory, and 8 MB of battery-backed RAM. The controller also has 2 GB of removable storage via a microSD card.
Two identical SNAP-PAC-S2s can be used for controller redundancy, with PAC Project Professional software suite and the SNAP-PAC-ROK Redundancy Option Kit.
