A Four-Axis Automatic Robotic Palletizer by Arbot That Can Be Integrated With an Arpac Automatic Pac-Series Stretch Wrapper

By Dan Hebert, PE, Senior Technical Editor

Arpac makes a variety of shrink wrappers and pallet stretch wrappers, corrugated case and tray ejectors, and loaders. The company's Arbot Series is a four-axis automatic robotic palletizer that gently handles the product, forming the desired pattern of layered stacks onto the pallet in a tight, uniform configuration. Both the pattern configuration and layer counts can be quickly changed over for different product sizes. The Arbot palletizer can be integrated with an Arpac automatic Pac-Series stretch wrapper. The Pac-Series is part of a robust line of stretch wrapping equipment designed to maximize stretch film usage while ensuring optimal load unitization.

"The clear winner with automation is flexibility," says Arpac's Howard Dittmer. "How many different products does the customer want to run today and in the future? How can the automation system make a machine flexible enough to run those that the customer knows of today, and how many different products can they envision in the future that they will want the machine to make?"
