U.S. News STEM Solutions National Leadership Conference took place April 23-25, 2014 and was proudly supported by The Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS), manager of the International Space Station (ISS) U.S. National Laboratory.
CASIS is one of many organizations and agencies that prioritize the dissemination of STEM education. CASIS not only sponsors and facilitates several STEM education initiatives around the U.S. that promote ISS research, but company representatives attend STEM events, like the U.S. News STEM Solutions and the U.S. Science and Engineering Festival, to network with STEM advocates, corporate entities and educators.
The U.S. News STEM Solutions National Leadership Conference this year was meant to address the STEM crisis in the United States and was aimed to focus on tangible results and facilitate collaboration to develop strategies that will help drive the STEM workforce, fill more STEM jobs and encourage greater student participation in STEM education.
Next year's event will convene in San Diego, CA, June 29 – July 1 for the fourth annual conference.
These conferences are a collaborative effort among professionals from many different sectors. Educators, business executives, community organizers, philanthropists, policy makers, non-profit organizations use this forum to interact and provide valuable input to help rectify U.S. STEM education difficulties.
