Operation STEM: The Mission Is Yours

March 21, 2013

In this blog, we often tend to focus on new developments for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) programs, and improved education for student interest. I was talking to my friend last week who just finished his most recent tour overseas for the U.S. Army and was taken by surprise when he mentioned the term.

Did you know that the Army Research and Development Command employs roughly 56% of all scientists and engineers in the U.S. Army?

STEM is vital to the Army and the nation to ensure we remain competitive globally through innovative technology. Making sure we as a country are developing and attracting upcoming generations of STEM students is critical for our survival and safety.

The Army has created a fun way to invite those interested in STEM to participate in their virtual futuristic experiences. Are you up for the challenge?

Challenge: The year is 2032 and the world is corrupted by environmental disaster and political conflict. The goverment needs your knowledge and problem solving abilities to stop a terrorist attach on a chemical plant in Europe.

Mission: You will have the use of Army technology and your team to help save thousands of civilians lives.
