Challenges in STEM Programs Webinar

Jan. 21, 2013

Instead of just working to develop an educational program, Maplesoft will take additional steps to show how new technology can address key challenges within STEM programs in its webinar "Challenges and Solutions for STEM Programs" on Jan. 30 at 9 a.m. CST.

Analytical software provider Maplesoft is one of many industrial automation suppliers to participate in initiates to improve science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs in the U.S. Instead of just working to develop an educational program, Maplesoft will take additional steps to show how new technology can address key challenges within STEM programs in its webinar "Challenges and Solutions for STEM Programs" on Jan. 30 at 9 a.m. CST.

Maple, MapleSim and Maple T.A. were designed to improve student comprehension, retention and classroom success. Maple and MapleSim help students visualize concepts and explore real-world problems. Maple T.A. allows students to practice their skills, while also giving educators a tool to evaluate their student's performance.

In this webinar, Louise Krmpotic, director of business development for Maplesoft, will introduce Maplesoft's suite of teaching tools and discuss how they can be implemented into the classroom to improve STEM programs. Krmpotic holds a bachelor and master degree in mathematics from the University of Waterloo, Canada, and a bachelor of education from Althouse College, the Faculty of Education at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.
