PBS and STEM Education

PBS offers educational programs to the public and it also offers programming that encourages children to be interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). PBS's various programs (Nova, Nature, Cyberchase, Curious George and Sid the Science Kid) are encouraging children to choose STEM careers. On its site, you can also find a STEM Education Resource Center for teachers.

The following video, NOVA Science Now: The Secret Life of Scientists, available on PBS.org features Rich Robinson, a nanomaterials scientist. Robinson tells his story of how he became interested in his field.
