March 10, 2009

So here we are again. Time to get started selecting and assembling the 2009 attendees for our annual AutomationXchange.

Those of you machine builders and SIs who have attended, feel free to chime in here and support or dispute what I say about the event.

For those who don't yet know about AX, it's a process that starts with the Control Design staff speaking with machine controls professionals at machine builder and SI companies who have a definite automation spending agenda for '09-'11 and would like to find the right automation suppliers to do business with. We match you up based on what you say you want to discuss with the automation suppliers that we think have the best shot at satisfying your requirements.  This process leads up to face-to-face meetings with those companies' real decision makers in August in Park City, Utah.

We make sure they come very-well prepared to discuss your specific needs, and don't waste valuable time on peppy powerpoints that chart the history and scope of their company. There's more important biz to discuss.

You might make a deal on the spot or find yourselves with a plan that's well on the way to building the type of supplier relationship you want.

The best endorsement we have about this event---nobody leaves feeling like they've wasted their time.

We have to turn down the requests of most of the attending machine builders who'd like to return the next year. We have to keep the event fresh, so only a few return each year if they have new agendas that would spawn new relationships.

Here's a sample of previous attendee testimonials that's better than anything I can say about it: http://www.automationxchange.com/video.html

If you want to know more, you know where to find me. The process starts now.
