Weidmuller buys Bosch Rexroth Monitoring Systems

Acquisition strengthens the German company’s presence in the wind-power industry.

The Weidmuller Group has purchased Bosch Rexroth Monitoring Systems GmbH from Bosch Rexroth AG, strengthening its presence in the wind-power industry and expanding its solution portfolio for condition-monitoring technologies.

Located in Dresden, Germany, the new subsidiary, Weidmuller Monitoring Systems, employs 25 people.  The Weidmuller Group also purchased the former facility of Bosch Rexroth Monitoring Systems in Dresden, where the BLADEcontrol condition-monitoring systems for wind power installations are developed, manufactured and distributed.

Similarly, Phoenix Contact recently invested in wind IoT firm Windesco.
