InduSoft Launches Web Studio v7.1 for Higher Education Institutions

Sept. 25, 2012
New Program Provides Students a Complete SCADA/HMI Package That Enables Them to Develop Real-World Applications

A special educational version of SCADA/HMI software released by InduSoft offers students of higher education institutions an innovative learning experience that allows them to develop practical applications by experimenting with real-world projects.

InduSoft Web Studio v7.1 was developed in response to feedback InduSoft received from university instructors, students and researchers who had been using InduSoft Web Studio software that had been previously donated by InduSoft.

"It's really gratifying when students, teachers and researchers tell us how much they are learning," says InduSoft Engineer Paolo Guerra. "At a university in Brazil, all the graduating engineers used InduSoft Web Studio as part of their graduation projects. Looking at the different kinds of applications they developed for a variety of industries and purposes was impressive."

The licensed educational version of InduSoft Web Studio is not only a new learning opportunity for its users. The program also allows Indusoft to review feedback from users who are learning the SCADA/HMI application software for the first time, which in return helps the company to better serve other users.

InduSoft Web Studio has been adopted into educational programs around the world including the University of Texas, and colleges in Canada, the Philippines and the Netherlands, according to InduSoft. The program also offers free online training to instructors.
