Visitors to Phoenix Contact USA’s Customer Technology Center (CTC) in Houston can experience the interactive, hands-on Power Reliability Application Center. Design engineers and system integrators can play with the technology, simulate real-world applications and see first-hand how power products react in different situations.
“This interactive new area is like a science center for adults. We want customers to explore this area and play around and learn about the important aspects of power reliability for the industrial market, not just power supplies, but also surge protection, power distribution and energy monitoring,” said Jeremy Valentine, director of product marketing—power reliability. “With this new focus, the Houston CTC becomes a training, education and support hub for our employees, customers and partners.”
Phoenix Contact has also expanded the CTC staff to include experts who focus exclusively on power reliability. This team will host a series of hands-on training classes teaching how to design, build and run reliable power systems for different applications. During the free, three-day class, participants will perform tests and measurements to learn how the different parts of the power system work together. Breakout workshops will explore applications and scenarios.
Phoenix Contact opened the Houston CTC in 2007. The 15,000-sq-ft facility is located at 3993 W. Sam Houston Parkway North, Suite 500.
