In 1975, the Germany-based Weidmüller Group established a U.S. manufacturing headquarters in Chesterfield County, Virginia, a suburb of Richmond. Weidmuller USA celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2025, marking five decades as a provider of industrial connectivity and automation products.
A highlight of the company’s year-long commemoration of this milestone anniversary is a grand opening event in the spring of 2025 of its 24,000-sq-ft engineering and manufacturing facility, which was completed in the fall of 2024.
The new facility allows Weidmuller USA to ramp up the engineering, assembly and manufacturing of Industry 4.0 products for U.S customers.
Over the past half-century, Weidmuller USA has broadened its product portfolio, which includes more than 80,000 parts that can be tailored to specific customer applications. Custom-designed products from Weidmuller USA are available for an array of industry sectors including renewable energy, oil and gas, data centers, food and beverage, intralogistics, machine design, appliance and HVAC and wiring and cable processing.
