Machine Design: Siemens looks to the future, honors its past

Oct. 24, 2022
Siemens celebrated its 175th anniversary, and Control Design's sibling publication Machine Design attended the gala event in Berlin, Germany.

Siemens is celebrating 175 years since it first launched manufacturing of the pointer telegraph. To commemorate the moment, the company hosted a gala event at the Siemens’ property in north Berlin on Oct. 12. Bob Vavra, senior content director for Control Design sibling publication Machine Design, attended the event to learn more about the company's anniversary and its plans to address manufacturing challenges today and in the future.

“Siemens has survived some dark hours of history in the past. And each time, after just a few years, we emerged from the crisis stronger than before—thanks to the passion and commitment of our colleagues."
