Mouser sponsors 2022 ElectronicWings Project Challenge

April 27, 2022

Mouser Electronics Inc., semiconductor and electronic component distributor, is the primary sponsor of the ElectronicWings Project Challenge 2022, a global design contest aimed at benefiting society through innovation in sustainable and efficient technologies. The contest challenges engineers and designers to create projects that advance agriculture, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, community development, healthcare or the environment. The contest is open now and runs through September 19, 2022, with winners announced on October 7, 2022.

“Mouser is proud to once again sponsor the ElectronicWings Project Challenge, which gives engineers the opportunity to show the community their innovative designs,” said Daphne Tien, Mouser vice president, APAC Marketing & Business Development. “Mouser strives to support this innovation, offering the latest tools, services and resources to expedite design, prototyping and validation.”

The contest is organized by ElectronicWings, a hardware developer community that promotes learning and innovation in Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning (ML), edge computing, artificial intelligence (AI) and hardware among its 1.8 million registered international users. Last year's challenge welcomed proposals from 941 participants across 35 countries, with 176 final projects submitted.

Ganesh Khomane, founder of ElectronicWings Community, said, “The support of Mouser Electronics bolsters the community’s efforts to drive innovation though interaction, engagement, collaboration and learning.”

All project submissions will appear in the ElectronicWings community through an open source license, which encourages other members of the community to engage, interact, collaborate and learn. Entrants can submit multiple entries, and each project will be considered as in individual entry. Team members of every successful submission will receive a certificate of successful participation within seven working days.

The ElectronicWings Project Challenge 2022 offers prizes totaling more than INR 400,000, including early-bird prizes for the first 50 project submissions. Judges will choose the top three submissions for major cash awards as well as the top 25 creative projects, who will also win cash prizes.
