The Simatic Micro-Drive is designed for protective extra-low-voltage ranges (with 24/48 V). It can be used with the Profinet protocol, which uses Profisafe telegrams for secure communications of drive safety functions onboard, such as safe stopping and safe monitoring of speed and torque. The servo drives are configured and commissioned through the company’s TIA portal with drag-and-drop system integration and easy setup. Straightforward control of the drive through technology blocks in the Simatic S7 PLC helps reduce engineering time and complexity. The Micro-Drive PDC (ProfiDriveControl) units offer side-by-side rail mounting and a built-in two-port Profinet interface.
