Applied Motion Products MDX+ series combines a servo drive, motor and encoder into a single unit, offering power options from 100 W to 550 W and supporting control methods like pulse train. Luna software connects to the MDX+ via USB for configuration, tuning and troubleshooting. The MDX+ features include power input of 24-60 Vdc for main power and 24 Vdc for auxiliary power, standardized frame sizes (40/60/80 mm), communication options including EtherCAT, CANopen, and RS-485, a 17-bit magnetic incremental or batteryless absolute encoder, support for position, velocity and torque control, a built-in brake option and IP20 or IP65 environmental protection.
