WHN Technologies GmbH is the winner of the ROBOTICS AWARD 2016.

WHN Technologies GmbH was the winner of the Robotics Award 2016, which was announced by Olaf Lies, minister of economic affairs in labor and transport for the German state of Lower Saxony, during an official prize-giving ceremony at the recent Hannover Messe conference.

This award has been presented since 2011 on behalf of Hannover Messe in cooperation with the Robotation Academy and the trade journal, Industrieanzeiger, in recognition of the applied robotics solutions of international companies.

The WHN Technologies GmbH X-Arm robotic hand came out on top against other nominees in the competition.

The Robotics Award recognizes technological innovations that make a contribution toward robot-assisted solutions in the field of industrial automation or toward the development of mobile robots and autonomous systems.

“This year, many companies from various sectors once again submitted applications with robot-supported solutions," said Lies. "As economic minister, this topic is very important to me. Robotics is an integral part of Industrie 4.0 and is very important for the future of business and competitiveness. This is reflected in the amount of space this topic accounts for at this year’s Hannover Messe."
