Advancing Vision + Imaging announces post-election 2016 Board of Directors

Three vision industry leaders have been re-elected to serve new two year terms on the Board of Directors of AIA – Advancing Vision + Imaging, the industry’s trade group.

The three incumbent board members who were re-elected are:

“I am honored to be able to contribute to the stewardship of our industry through another term on the AIA board, especially in these exciting times with Machine Vision permeating more and more corners of our day-to-day lives,” said George Chamberlain, CEO of Pleora Technologies.

“I am once again honored to be re-elected to the AIA Board of Directors,” added John Merva, vice president of North America for Gardasoft Vision Ltd. “I am thankful to be able to help continue the growth and maturation of the industry to the benefit of suppliers and users alike.”

“I am happy to continue supporting the AIA through participation on the board for another term,” said Steve Wardell, director of imaging at ATS Automation. “I feel the association is in a good position currently and only getting stronger. I hope to provide a subjective look at the industry from an integrator perspective and continue to build on how the association involves this key portion of its membership. Thank you for the opportunity.”

The other 2016 members of the AIA Board of Directors include the following: Marc Marini, Director, National Instruments and Chair of the AIA Board; Steve Mott, Vice President, Components Express Inc. and Past Chair of the AIA Board; Jeff Burnstein, AIA President; Ghislain Beaupré, VP R&D and Operations, Teledyne DALSA; Greg Hollows, Imaging Business Unit Director, Edmund Optics; Wallace Latimer, PLM Machine Vision, Coherent Inc.; Rex Lee, Ph.D, CEO/President, Pyramid Imaging, Inc.; Rusty Ponce de Leon, President, Phase 1 Technology Corp.; and Edward Roney, National Account Manager, Intelligent Robotics, FANUC America Corporation.
