Rittal expands Houston warehouse

Aug. 9, 2022

Rittal North America, a global manufacturer of industrial and IT enclosures, is expanding its Houston, Texas, warehouse and modification center. This expansion adds 33% more warehouse space to the current distribution center, providing added capabilities and increased inventory. The Houston warehouse expansion follows the addition of two warehouses in Chicagoland and Atlanta last year.

The increased warehouse footprint will help support shortened delivery times for the South region, meet the growing demands of oil and gas customers in the Houston area, and expand enclosure modification capabilities. The Houston Modification Center modifies all of Rittal’s stainless steel enclosures for the U.S.; the addition of more than 21,000 square feet in warehouse space will allow Rittal to ramp up production and fulfill more orders in shortened timeframes.

Additionally, the warehouse will accommodate more inventory on hand of the most popular enclosures further helping to shorten delivery times and be more responsive to customer needs and improve customer service capabilities.

“Improving the customer experience and reducing the time to market is key for integrators, OEMs, machine builders, panel builders, and data centers,” said Andreas Ruzic, chief executive officer of Rittal USA and executive vice president of Rittal North America. “The Houston warehouse expansion will help customers in the South gain a competitive advantage when it comes to implementing solutions that are vital to operations.”

Expanding the Houston warehouse footprint enables Rittal to provide companies with the products they need, when, where, and how they’re needed through enhanced delivery and modification programs.
