Mettler Toledo, winner of the Partner Ecosystem Award at Rockwell Automation’s PartnerNetwork Conference earlier this year in Los Angeles, specializes in precision weighing, ranging from industrial weigh modules and load cells to programmable-logic-controller (PLC) connectivity devices that integrate weight into processes. Along with Gray Solutions, Endress+Hauser, CED, SMC and Pepper+Fuchs, Mettler Toledo earned the award for “Easing the pain of ATEX hazardous area compliance using pre-certified components and enclosures.”
Mettler Toledo will exhibit its products and expertise at Automation Fair 2023 in Boston, November 6-9.
“The Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork Ecosystem Award recognizes Rockwell Automation partners who collaborate to create the most impactful business outcome for their collective end customer,” explains Andy Kletrovets, strategic programs manager at Mettler Toledo. “It’s truly a case where the value of the entire network is greater than each of its individual contributors alone, and this instance is no exception.”
For this particular award, Gray Solutions submitted the entry on behalf of the companies collaborating on a food-and-beverage customer’s capital expansion project.
“Our partnership with Rockwell Automation is integral in providing demonstrated value to our customers by easing the integration process of weighing equipment into control systems for automated applications,” notes Kletrovets. “Through our collaboration, we have significantly reduced integration, setup and configuration efforts for all of our weighing solutions regardless of industry or application.”
Co-innovation with Rockwell Automation allows Mettler Toledo to provide add-on-profiles (AOPs) and faceplates that provide plug-and-play connectivity, adds Kletrovets. “Partnership with Rockwell authorized distributors, such as CED, gives both Mettler Toledo and Rockwell Automation the capability to bring each company’s expertise as close to each individual customer as possible, enriching their overall experience where it matters most to them,” he explains.
“We’re the only precision measurement company in the world with the capability to objectively and scientifically prove that each of our scales and sensors are suitable for a weighing application at any point throughout the entire lifecycle, from design to installation, commissioning and throughout routine operation,” says Kletrovets. “We ensure that the accuracy, precision, safety, connectivity and compliance requirements for any specific project are fully addressed by the products and services that we provide.”
As a Rockwell partner with a portfolio of more than 4 million options, covering a weighing range from micrograms to thousands of tons, Mettler Toledo’s products eliminate unnecessary integration risks when connecting to Rockwell Automation systems, which allows customers to bring their machines, production lines and plants to market faster, says Kletrovets. “Our vast global footprint, regional competency centers and industry knowledge extend these strengths across all geographies and industry segments,” he adds.
“We’re continuing to invest heavily in the future of automation for our customers while they continue their digital transformation,” emphasizes Kletrovets. “We are bringing new, innovative products to the market that are easier to specify, integrate, operate and maintain, while further enriching and contextualizing the data coming from our scales and sensors. Our devices will continue to become more intelligent across all of our weighing technologies.”
